Supervising Social Worker

Hi, my name is Emily. I started working for Family Fostercare as a Supervising Social Worker in January 2025.

Before joining Family Fostercare, I worked as a social worker in a duty and assessment team within a Local Authority. This was a fast-paced role focused on ensuring that children’s needs were met and they remained safe and protected.

I entered social work after growing up in a fostering family where we supported multiple children who needed a safe place to call home. The support we received from our social worker inspired me to pursue this career.

I love seeing children grow and thrive when they experience consistent and empathetic care, and I feel privileged to be a part of their journey. I also enjoy supporting foster carers through both the highs and lows of fostering.
